Taproot Works
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Still Here is local-first. It is designed to keep your words in your own browser unless you choose to carry them elsewhere.
This policy explains what Still Here stores, what it does not collect, and how export, import, voice transcription, and local device authentication work.
What Still Here stores
Still Here stores your entries, release history, and app settings in the browser or device where you use the app. This storage stays on that browser or device unless you export it, import it somewhere else, or remove it.
What Still Here does not collect
Still Here does not require an account. Still Here does not send your entries to Taproot Works. Still Here does not sell your entries, use them for advertising, or share them with third parties for marketing.
Export and import
Export creates a file from the data stored in your current browser. Import reads a Still Here export file that you choose. You control where exported files are saved, copied, backed up, or deleted.
Voice transcription
Still Here may offer voice transcription when your browser supports it. Still Here does not store audio recordings. Browser-provided speech recognition may be processed by the browser or device vendor according to that vendor's own settings and policies. You can review and edit transcribed words before release.
Local seal and device authentication
When supported, Still Here may use browser or device authentication to create a local seal before release. This is handled by your browser or device. Still Here does not receive your fingerprint, face, passcode, or other biometric secret.
Hosting and technical logs
Still Here is served as a website. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver the site, such as request times, IP addresses, browser information, and error or security logs. Taproot Works uses this information only to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the site.
Children
Still Here is not directed to children and does not require an account. Entries live in the browser where they are written and can be removed there with Burn All Data. Questions or concerns can be sent to Taproot Works.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Still Here changes. The updated date at the top of this page will change when the policy changes.
